In May 2017, Emerald Creek Capital provided a $4,500,000 refinance in “the Loop” neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The loan is secured by a five-story, mixed-use property with a gross building area of 32,000 SF and a net rentable area of 28,930 SF. The borrower plans to renovate the building to encompass seven three-bedroom units with ground-floor retail. Bordered by the Chicago River, the neighborhood is a central business district known for cultural attractions and restaurants, shopping centers, and modern skyscrapers.
